The new cabinet will be announced ‘soon’- Ateny

(Thessherald)–South Sudan’s new cabinet Ministers of the country’s coalition government are slated to be formed soon, if the allocation of the ministerial portfolios is finalized, said Ateny Awek Ateny, Press Secretary in the Office of the President.

On Tuesday, the Presidency announced that a technical committee tasked with allocating ministerial portfolios is working on the process and that the new government will be announced in the next few days.

“The President and all the Vice Presidents have forgiven each other and urged all the South Sudanese also to forgive them and pray for them so we embark on reconciliation, forgiveness and healing of our broken social fabric.”

“The Presidency also wants to inform the people of South Sudan that there are committees from all sides working on the allocation of the Ministries and the cabinet will be announced as soon as the committees finish the task.”

President Kiir and his five Vice Presidents reconciled at the State House and urged the citizens to forget about what has happened in the past and start the process of steering the country towards peace.
