Machar urges the public to observe WHO guidelines as COVID-19 tally hits 58
May 5, 2020 (Thessherald)–South Sudan’s High Level Taskforce on Covid-19 has announced 6 more cases of the COVID-19 pandemic, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 58 in the country.
In a statement, the High-Level Task Force on COVID-19 urges members of the general public to strictly adhere to the guidelines recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO).
“The 6 new confirmed cases were announced today, Tuesday, May 5, 2020, in the Taskforce meeting chaired by the First Vice President, H. E. Dr. Riek Machar Teny, who is also the Deputy Chairperson of the Taskforce.”
The public is reminded to observe guidelines and restrictions in combating the disease,” the Office of the First Vic-president said this evening.
