As the year comes to an end, Thessherald.com looks back on one of the most appreciated and admired traffic police officers, Mr. George Kenyi Ladu, a man who has become a household name for his dedication to ensuring public safety.
In June, Kenyi became a social media sensation after gaining public attention for his commitment and—he subsequently received heaps of praises, gifts in the form of goats and other essential items, and a personal car pledged by businesswoman Achair Wiir.
The 32-year-old, Kenyi, has now changed the public’s perceptions of traffic police officers who are always accused of unlawfully extorting money from motorists without good reason. He also motivates his colleagues to work harder in order to maintain professionalism.
In July, his eldest son received a scholarship from the Trinity Energy Company LTD as a reward and appreciation for his father’s hard work and dedication to maintaining road safety in the capital, Juba.
“This certificate of sponsorship is hereby awarded to pupil Samuel Kenyi Lemi by Trinity Energy Ltd as our commitment to sponsoring his education from now until he completes his tertiary education in recognition of the commendable work demonstrated by his guardian Mr. George Kenyl Ladu, a Traffic Marshal who serves motorists and the public at Seven Day Roundabout with dedication.”
