May 24, 2020 (Thessherald)–“South Sudan is one of the richest countries on earth, for in her belly and underneath it contained both discovered and undiscovered natural resources. For instance; it has gold, diamond, oil, fish and wild animals. But God did the greatest mistake of all time by placing it under the senile and incompetent leaders whose ego is to enriched themselves.” Said Ochanda, Kenyan friend.
In the jungles of Equatoria, Bahr El Ghazal and Upper Nile. The South Sudanese lost great men and women during the 21 years of gorilla war against Arab North of Sudan. But when the independence was attained On 9th July 2011. Both the dead and the living rejoiced ecstatically because they have got what they suffered for. They also rejoiced with felicity because they have got what they sacrificed their lives for. But sad to say, their profuse sweat seemed to mean nothing to our leaders who branded themselves as the living heroes whose sense of importance turned out to be the inevitable curse to the people of South Sudan.
Their profuse sweat happened to mean nothing to our current leaders whose sense of importance happened to maimed, kills, and tortured innocent souls for the sake of self-ego. Their ethos and ethic too served to enriched themselves and their families on the expense of the impoverished masses. What was the reason for 21 years in the bush when our leaders turned the country into political entity? What was the reason for our men to died in their number for the sake of the country that never fulfill the need of their children, widows and war veterans?
Moreover, our leaders did not only killed us but also went as far as selling the country to the foreign investors without questioning them. And this happens because they’re building strong perosonal relationship with those countries in case things transpired against their own will, they can shift to foreign lands. What was the reason our men died during 21 years of liberation in order to emancipate ourselves from the marginalization of Arab North of Sudan. If the country is being bungled and shared wickedly amongst few elites?
South Sudan; The hunting ground for foreign investors.
South Sudan happened to be a country where a foreign investors can sell counterfeit and expired Commodities to the citizens because they know that there’s no rule of law that protects the lives of indigenous people. It happened to be a country where the city thieves or arms robberies are all foreigners who not only take the properties but also kills the owners of the properties. Simply because they know that there’s no rule of law that protect the lives of the indigenous people.
It’s a country where a foreign doctor can give you medications which cannot cure your disease simply because he know that you will come back and seek the same medical assistance from him. Of which if you die in the process it’s up to you. And this is happening because there’s no rule of law that protect the lives of indigenous from the foreign investors.
Significantly, it’s a country where the foreigners are being treated as the first class citizens far more better than the indigenous people simply because the leaders are protecting their personal relationship with the countries whose citizens are being accommodated in South Sudan. On the other hand, It’s a country where Chinese Companies are being pays a hefty amount of money for the construction of durable infrastructures. But they’re constructing nondurable infrastructures. For instance, the Juba-Rumbek Highway (JRHW) that was yesterday washed away by mere rain whose speed couldn’t even harm seedlings. This is happening because there’s no rule of law that supervise the activities of the foreign companies.
Unfortunately, it is a country where leaders are using citizens as the human shields in order to fake their immortality like they will never die. And they also went ahead by using Corona-virus pandemic for political manipulation and motivation. What was the reason our men died during 21 years of civil war? Did they died in order for the living ones to suffer under political dynasties?
